My first and last review on amazon.in [Hope they make public]

My first and last review on amazon.in
================================================================
First thing first "DON'T TRUST AMAZON.IN".

Product is great  which we were already using. But had to order new due to a medical emergency for my 3 month kid. He suffered 3 days more due to amazon.in bad service and fake promises.

Product received was in good condition. But didn't delivered on time as promised. You can read my experience here  http://donttrustamazondotin.blogspot.com/2014/05/my-story-of-dont-trust-amazonin.html

If people reading this review has also similar experience please share it on same blog. Also people who expecting ads like response then you are dreaming. Customer service is sweet talk. Also in my case seller doesn't charge for shipping of order valued more then 500 INR [Indian Rupee]. But Amazon.in has charged me 89 INR. I guess cheated me. So think twice before ordering anything of urgency or medical emergency. Just can't trust Amazon.in for delivery and service. They just distribute freebies for some and then those people brag about amazon.in. Check their facebook page and you will see many frustrated people due to amazon.in fake claims in their ads. So please explore other online retailer as options first.

=================================================================

Let me see if they make it public. It will be a pleasant surprise.

Amazon's horrible business strategy to earn more and more bucks.

Amazon Policy of Lying:

Customer Service personnel said that the seller manages shipping and they don't have any control on this process. But this link suggest in first line itself that amazon manages shipping. So Customer Service people also lie to us!

Reviews on Amazon:

What influences you decision while shopping. What are other peoples experiences [Product/Seller Reviews]. Top Reviewers On Amazon Get Tons Of Free Stuff. So reviews are managed by Amazon. They lie to us about reviews as well.

Amazons Psychological Game:

Along with paid reviews amazon also plays with customers Psychology. Check out how customer service people are trained to play the customer's Psychology.

SO DON'T TRUST AMAZON.

REFUNDS ARE VERY TOUGH TO GET FROM AMAZON

DON'T TRUST AMAZON!!! REFUNDS ARE TUFF TO GET!!!

Last month I ordered 3 books for a class--paying one day shipping rate. Thinking that I am going to get ALL 3 books. Only one book came. When I inquired of this--Amazon said that NOT ALL OF THEIR DISTRIBUTOR'S SEND ONE DAY. This was frustrating. I had to order my other two books somewhere else.
I received my books in the mail. Before they came I had sent an email to the distributor's to cancel--however, they had already sent the books. After I received them, I sent them back with a confirmation. After seeing that one of my books had been recieved, I notified the distributor that I would like to see a refund by a certain date. (Which, I expected to be refunded within a week time) ...however, below is an email that I received from Amazon regarding a refund...

HAVE YOU HAD ISSUES WITH AMAZON BEFORE?

DO YOU FULLY TRUST AMAZON SELLERS?

My mom gifted me Amazon Prime, and I'm a little addicted...I've been ordering online a lot, just cause it's so convenient! Most things I get turn out fine, but I had a couple incidents, within a couple weeks from each other.

A few weeks ago, I ordered a cat tree. I picked one specifically for my white cat in mind, cause it had a cool hammock that I knew he'd love. It arrived 2 days later, DH, DS and I all worked together to get it up and then I realized...it's not the one I ordered! It's nice, and actually bigger than the original one, but it didn't have the hammock feature I wanted. So ....

DO YOU FULLY TRUST AMAZON SELLERS?

DO YOU FULLY TRUST AMAZON SELLERS?

Originally I really did trust a lot of amazon sellers especially when they have good reviews but lately I am reluctant to buy certain things from them.
I had an issue with one seller and realized several other people had reported the same thing with their earth mama angel baby bottom balm not being the same as the original one. The first time you order from them you get the "Real" one then the 2nd jar will be full of hard lumps and impossible to spread on baby's bottom and doesnt even smell like the original.
Now I'm wary of amazon sellers because some of them try to pass on fakes as originals

Trusting Amazon (no longer)

When buying on line, trust is everything. And Amazon are the most trustable online retailler I know of.

Or so I thought until this week.

This week I was thinking of buying an item for my bike. I'd searched Amazon, and particular item was noticeably cheaper than the rest, and also got good customer reviews. The only thing was, it didn't list what size of batteries it took, which prompted me to do a bit of looking elsewhere.

It was at this point something started to feel suspicious.

Trusting Amazon?

Is Amazon Taking Consumer Trust for Granted?

Amazon’s shift to dynamic pricing last year has left me feeling betrayed. What drew me to Amazon was the feeling that they really wanted to help me find things I’d love and that I’d get whatever I love at a good (i.e. lower) price than I’d pay in a brick-and-mortar store.

Is Amazon.com Screwing You Over?

Amazon is charging and pocketing exorbitant shipping and handling fees, and someone somewhere is getting rich from it.

This article is written by Steve Brown.

Some excerpts:

Do you trust Amazon.com? I did -- until recently -- when a friend went online at Amazon to buy a hair color product called Touch of Gray. It was selling on Amazon for $7.56, and an order was placed for six pieces, total $45.36. However, on the last screen just before clicking acceptance, my friend noticed that shipping and handling was being billed at the incredible rate of $28.50 (about 64 percent of the cost of merchandise)!

Amazon customer reviews - can we trust them?

Written by Sue Gee
Monday, 22 August 2011
Two recent academic studies have raised questions about customer reviews found on online sites. Can we trust the motivations of the reviewers and how can we tell fake from genuine reviews?
..
..
..
The researchers comment:
This is an important finding because it shows that Amazon top reviewers do receive some sort of direct material reward, however small, for their endeavors.

Practical Nerd: When Amazon can’t be trusted

Recently, I bought a new Android phone. It didn’t come with everything I wanted, so I turned to my default shopping resource, Amazon.com. I did a search, set the options to only show “Prime Eligible” shipping, found the accessory I wanted …

I signed up for Amazon Prime in March 2006, shortly after it launched. I have several items on Subscribe & Save. I own an earlier-Generation Kindle.
But I’ve become wary about shopping for accessories or replacement parts on Amazon. Because in these situations, Amazon cannot be trusted. Or, more to the point: I can’t trust I’ll receive what I actually ordered.

My Story of DON'T TRUST AMAZON.IN

I am talking about my experience with amazon.in. I placed an order for a product on amzon.in which was a medical emergency for my 3 month kid.

But lot of promises but no action. It is only blaming game.

Following are excerpts of my frustrating experience with customer service team of amazon.

  1. Firstly when contacted  them to check if there is any possibility of speeding up delivery else I wanted to cancel the order. (Product ordered was medical emergency for my 3 months kid.)
Amazon reply => Customer executive said will contact third party seller to speed up the delivery (Be delivered on Tuesday 20th May). So I trusted. Checked next day but no progress seen.
  2. Second contact as there was no progress on shipment.
Amazon reply => The customer executive told me delivery is managed by third party seller and we don't have any control. (If shipment is managed by third party why I was charged by amazon.in for shipment when that seller offers free delivery for products costing more then 500 INR.) This is cheating
  3. Third contact was on chat. I posted all details and status of my order including summary of previous communication.
Amazon reply => First question was "which product order you want cancel?" In fact I had not mentioned anything about cancelling order. Without reading messages properly how a customer service person respond like that. This is careless and callous attitude. Tired of her attitude I made a phone call (Fourth contact).
  4. Fourth contact Customer service executive along with floor supervisor promised to make delivery happen at earliest and give me feedback on phone. But they didn't. This is again careless attitude and not trustworthy. When they say they will call they don't call. Again DON'T TRUST AMAZON.IN
  5. Fifth Communication Floor supervisor hangup phone on me. This is inhuman attitude.
  6. Sixth communication with Floor manager he promised that product will be delivered today (22nd May) and he or floor supervisor will call me back which he didn't.  Again DON'T TRUST AMAZON.IN

What do you have say now. Do you still plan to use amazon.in for online shopping, think again there are better option in India today. Please remember amazon.in need us. But with this kind of attitude I say again DON'T TRUST AMAZON.IN.

Anyone having similar experiences please share here.

 Again DON'T TRUST AMAZON.IN...
