Amazon customer reviews - can we trust them?

Two recent academic studies have raised questions about customer reviews found on online sites. Can we trust the motivations of the reviewers and how can we tell fake from genuine reviews?

The researchers comment:
This is an important finding because it shows that Amazon top reviewers do receive some sort of direct material reward, however small, for their endeavors.

  1. i purchased books on amazon.in my order go beyond 499 and still that seller charges me.later on i came to know about the policy of amazon.so then i claim for the refund they agreed that its was there mistake.they agreed for the refund but later on they didnt accept and denied what they said.they are not at all trustworthy.they are very slow in resolving issue.they made me wait for 1-2 week still they failed to resolve.moreover customer support is ruthless it will let you wait for 1-2 hr but they wont reply.even for mail they had replied after 1-2 days
